Part of the managed relationship

Someone watching your environment at 2am, so you don’t have to.

Most damage happens in the gap between something going wrong and anyone noticing. CCB closes that gap with cloud security controls, SIEM monitoring and managed detection & response — continuous coverage, backed by people who act on what they see.

Delivered under a CCB managed services agreement. Backed by a 24/7 Security Operations Center.

What we deliver

What we deliver

Security is not one product you install. It is controls, visibility, and someone who responds — and a gap in any of the three makes the other two less useful.

01

Cloud security

Your data and identities increasingly live in Microsoft 365 and other cloud platforms rather than in your building. We configure and maintain the security controls in those environments — access policies, multi-factor authentication, email protection and data controls — so the settings that matter are actually set, and stay set as your organization changes.

02

SIEM monitoring

SIEM stands for Security Information and Event Management. In practice it means the logs and events from across your systems get collected into one place and correlated, so a pattern that looks harmless on one server and harmless on another gets recognized when it shows up on both. Without it, the signal is spread across a dozen systems nobody is reading.

03

Managed Detection & Response (MDR)

This is the part most organizations are actually missing. Alerts without anyone to act on them are just noise arriving faster. MDR means our team investigates what the monitoring surfaces, separates real incidents from false alarms, and takes action — around the clock, not during business hours.

04

Backup & disaster recovery

The layer that decides how bad a bad day gets. Detection and response reduce how often something serious happens; tested backups and a rehearsed recovery plan determine what it costs you when it does. We treat these as one conversation rather than two.

Being clear about scope

What we cover, and what we don’t.

Plenty of providers let “security” stay vague. We would rather you knew exactly where our coverage ends, so nothing important is sitting in a gap you thought was filled.

CCB delivers

Continuous monitoring and response

Delivered in-house, as part of your managed IT relationship.

Not delivered in-house

Specialist assurance work

If your insurer, regulator or customer requires this, we will say so early and help you find the right specialist rather than stretching to cover it.

We work alongside specialist firms regularly. Knowing where the line sits is part of what you are paying an experienced partner for.

What happens when something fire

An alert is not an answer. Here’s what we actually do with one.

01

Detect

Monitoring picks up activity that does not match the normal pattern for your environment.

02

Investigate

Our team looks at it in context. Most alerts are explainable. The point is that a person checks, rather than a queue filling up.

03

Contain

If it is real, we act to limit it — isolating what needs isolating before the problem spreads further.

04

Report

You get told what happened, what we did, and what should change so the same route is closed next time.

How this fits

Security you bolt on separately tends to drift.

The reason this sits inside the managed relationship is practical: the team monitoring your environment is the same team that patches it, configures it and knows what changed last Tuesday. Split those apart and things fall between them.

Managed IT Support

The relationship this sits inside. Monitoring, service desk, infrastructure and planning under one agreement.

Backup & Disaster Recovery

The other half of the same conversation. Tested backups and a recovery plan you have actually rehearsed.

Microsoft 365

Where most of your identities and data now live, and therefore where a lot of this coverage applies.

Trusted with the keys

Security access is the thing clients are most careful about.

“They are the only company that has access to our systems.”

Twenty years in, Jon still describes CCB the same way: a company with integrity, where what they tell you turns out to be true. Russell Cellular is Verizon’s fifth-largest agent, running more than 720 locations across 43 states.

Common questions

Managed security, answered plainly.

What security services does CCB Technology provide?

CCB Technology provides cloud security, SIEM monitoring and managed detection & response (MDR), together with backup and disaster recovery. These are continuous monitoring and response services covering your environment day and night.

They are delivered as part of the managed IT relationship rather than purchased as a standalone product.

MDR stands for Managed Detection and Response, and the difference from antivirus is that a team of people investigates and acts on what is found. Antivirus software blocks known threats automatically; MDR adds human investigation of the activity that software flags but cannot resolve on its own.

In practice this means an alert at 2am gets looked at by someone at 2am, rather than sitting in a queue until morning.

SIEM monitoring collects log and event data from across your systems into one place and correlates it, so patterns spanning multiple systems become visible. Security Information and Event Management is the full term.

Without it, the evidence of a problem is typically spread across a dozen separate systems that nobody is reading in combination.

No. CCB does not provide these services in-house. Our security work is focused on continuous monitoring, detection and response — cloud security, SIEM and MDR — rather than point-in-time assurance engagements.

If your insurer, regulator or a customer requires that kind of independent engagement, we will tell you early and help you find an appropriate specialist. We work alongside those firms regularly.

Security is part of CCB’s managed services, delivered under a managed services agreement. It comes in two services. Cloud Security protects Microsoft 365 with advanced email gateway security and spam filtering, security awareness simulation and training, a SIEM backed by a 24/7 Security Operations Center that watches for threats such as impossible travel and repeated failed logins, and backups of Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive. Endpoint Management & Security covers security and third-party patching, managed detection and response (MDR) backed by a 24/7 Security Operations Center, DNS filtering, and file and folder backups.

Exactly what is covered depends on the scope agreed during onboarding, which is established after the initial assessment.

Yes. Security monitoring is one of the most common reasons organizations with an internal IT team start a co-managed arrangement with CCB, because 24/7 monitoring coverage is difficult for a small team to sustain.

Your team keeps control of the environment while CCB provides the continuous monitoring and response layer.

Every CCB security plan includes 24/7 Security Operations Center services for endpoints, so alerts are investigated as they occur rather than during business hours only.

Specific response targets are agreed as part of your service scope.

Your data and your systems remain yours throughout. Documentation of your environment is maintained so that a transition, if you ever want one, is orderly.

Some services use term agreements of one, two or three years and others need no long-term contract. Either way, the 90-day money-back guarantee lets you cancel for a full refund at the start.

Let’s talk

Find out what is actually being watched right now.

Thirty minutes, no obligation. Most organizations are surprised by where the gaps are — and it is a better conversation to have now than after something happens.
